A Miracle in Kapuri: Children Encounter God’s Love
In the quiet, dusty corner of Kapuri, on the western side of Juba City, something extraordinary unfolded on an ordinary afternoon. Beneath the shade of scattered trees, a circle of vulnerable children sat barefoot and wide-eyed, their hearts open with curiosity.
Most had never stepped into a classroom or held a book of their own. Yet that day, for the very first time, each child received a Children’s Story Bible in English—a colourful, picture-filled treasure titled Love of God. The joy on their faces said more than words ever could. Though many could not yet read the text, the vibrant illustrations spoke to their hearts in a language beyond words.
Guided by a passionate facilitator, the children journeyed through stories of creation, Noah’s faith, Jesus’ kindness, and the unending love of a heavenly Father. With every picture and every gentle explanation, seeds of faith, hope, and identity were planted.
In a place where childhood is often clouded by hardship, light broke through—one book, one story, and one person willing to show up.
This moment, humble and holy, reminds us all: you don’t need a classroom to learn about love. Sometimes, all it takes is a picture, a kind word, and the unwavering message of God’s grace.
Our heartfelt thanks to the Bible Society in South Sudan and the generous donors whose support made this life-changing Bible distribution possible.
